Bosnian defense manufacturer Binas reported lower financial results for the first six months of 2026 as revenue and net profit declined from the exceptionally strong performance recorded a year earlier. Despite the weaker comparison, the Bugojno-based company remained profitable, according to its half year financial report.

Operating revenue reached **EUR 10.8 million** during the reporting period, down from **EUR 13.5 million** in the first half of 2025\. Total revenue declined to **EUR 11.7 million** from **EUR 13.7 million** over the same period.

Operating expenses fell to **EUR 10.4 million**, compared with **EUR 10.8 million** a year earlier. However, the decline in costs did not offset lower revenue, resulting in net profit falling to **EUR 1.2 million** from **EUR 2.5 million** in the first half of 2025.

The latest figures represent the first notable moderation in Binas' financial performance after several years of rapid expansion driven by growing demand for defense products. The company generated total revenue of **EUR 32.6 million** in 2025, compared with just **EUR 0.8 million** in 2021, reflecting one of the fastest recoveries within Bosnia and Herzegovina's defense industrial base.

After reporting a loss in 2021, Binas closed 2025 with net earnings of more than **EUR 7.7 million**, strengthening its position among Bosnia and Herzegovina's leading defense manufacturers.

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina remains the company's majority shareholder with a 51 percent stake, while U.S.-based Regulus Global holds approximately 25.7 percent.

Although the first half results indicate slower momentum than the record performance achieved last year, financial performance in the defense sector is often influenced by the timing of contract deliveries and revenue recognition. The company's full year results will therefore depend on the execution of existing orders during the second half of 2026.
