Israeli defense technology company **Elbit Systems has secured a $235 million contract** to supply PULS rocket artillery launchers and EXTRA-MR precision-guided rockets to an undisclosed European country, adding another significant order to its expanding European defense portfolio.

The agreement, announced on October 19, 2026, was concluded through a government-to-government arrangement between Israel's Ministry of Defense and the purchasing country's defense ministry. The contract will be executed over three years and includes rocket launchers, guided munitions, additional artillery-related platforms, and integrated logistics support.

Elbit Systems has not disclosed the customer's identity, the number of launchers ordered, or the quantity of rockets included in the agreement.

## EXTRA-MR Rockets Provide Precision Strike Capability at 80 Kilometers

The contract includes EXTRA-MR, the medium-range version of Elbit Systems' EXTRA supersonic rocket family. The precision-guided munition is designed to engage designated targets at ranges of up to 80 kilometers.

EXTRA-MR is compatible with Elbit's PULS (Precise & Universal Launching System), a modular rocket artillery platform capable of employing several types of guided and unguided ammunition.

Depending on the munition selected, the broader PULS architecture supports engagement ranges of up to 300 kilometers. Its design allows armed forces to operate different rocket types from a common launching platform rather than maintaining separate launchers for each range category.

Elbit also emphasizes compatibility with existing command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) systems, allowing integration into established military networks.

Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis, President and CEO of Elbit Systems, said the new contract reflects growing international demand for the company's rocket artillery technologies and their adoption by European and NATO customers.

## Israeli Rocket Artillery Expands Across Europe

The latest contract follows several major European procurement decisions involving Elbit Systems.

In April 2026, Greece awarded the Israeli manufacturer a contract worth approximately $750 million (€650 million) for PULS rocket artillery systems, guided munitions, and associated equipment. The agreement includes four years of implementation followed by ten years of support.

The Netherlands previously awarded Elbit a $305 million contract in 2023 covering 20 PULS rocket artillery systems, ammunition, and support services.

Germany has also expanded its cooperation with the Israeli manufacturer. In March 2026, Elbit Systems and KNDS announced plans for EuroPULS GmbH, a 50:50 joint venture based in Kassel, Germany, to market rocket artillery systems to European armed forces. Five initial operational capability launchers ordered for Germany are scheduled for delivery and qualification in 2027.

In Southeast Europe, Serbia has already acquired the PULS system. The Serbian Armed Forces demonstrated the Israeli-made launcher during the Victor 2026 military exercise in September, alongside other newly acquired military equipment.

The developments illustrate the growing commercial reach of Israeli rocket artillery technology, from direct government procurement to industrial partnerships with established European defense manufacturers.

## Elbit's European Order Portfolio Continues to Grow

Elbit Systems reported an order backlog of approximately $32 billion at the end of June 2026, with Europe accounting for much of the increase in its backlog during the second quarter.

The company's expanding business spans precision-guided munitions, artillery, unmanned systems, electronic warfare, and military communications.

The newly announced $235 million contract adds another three-year supply commitment to Elbit's European rocket artillery business. The identity of the customer and the detailed delivery schedule remain undisclosed.
