**Poland's security services have launched an investigation after police received information about a possible attack targeting Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.**

Polish authorities ordered an emergency security response on Sunday, October 11, following a warning concerning the country's two senior government officials. Interior Ministry spokesperson Karolina Gałecka confirmed that police had received information about a potential attack, prompting Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński and Special Services Coordinator Tomasz Siemoniak to instruct the relevant agencies to take action. Officials have not disclosed the source of the warning, the nature of the suspected threat or whether investigators have identified any individuals involved.

Representatives of Poland's Internal Security Agency (ABW), national police and State Protection Service (SOP) were called to a coordination meeting at the ABW Counter-Terrorism Centre in Warsaw at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. The SOP is responsible for protecting senior government officials, while the ABW handles domestic intelligence and counterterrorism investigations. The meeting was intended to coordinate the response to the information received by police, although authorities have not publicly disclosed the outcome of their assessment.

According to [Reuters](https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/poland-says-police-got-information-about-possible-attack-pm-defence-minister-2026-10-11/?ref=adriadefense.com), private broadcaster Radio Zet reported that the warning had arrived in an email to police. That account has not been independently confirmed by the Interior Ministry. The government has also not announced any arrests connected to the reported threat, and there is currently no public evidence establishing that an attack had been prepared or that an attempt was imminent.

The alert comes during a period of heightened public security concerns in Poland. Authorities have been responding to several violent incidents at schools in the Mazovia region, including an attack on October 8 that killed a school caretaker and injured two teachers. Prime Minister Tusk convened a separate government briefing on Sunday morning to address school violence and disinformation, according to the [Prime Minister's Office](https://www.gov.pl/web/premier/udzial-premiera-donalda-tuska-w-odprawie-z-ministrami-i-szefami-sluzb?ref=adriadefense.com). No connection has been established between those incidents and the warning involving the two government officials.

Poland has also faced security concerns related to its position on NATO's eastern flank and its military support for Ukraine. However, officials have not attributed the reported threat against Tusk and Kosiniak-Kamysz to Russia, a foreign intelligence service or any domestic organization. The case remains under assessment, with further details dependent on the findings of Poland's security authorities.
