Bosnia’s BNT Novi Travnik Reports Record Financial Performance
Artillery systems manufacturer BNT – Tvornica Masina i Hidraulike Novi Travnik posted its strongest financial result since the 1990s. The figures underline the renewed activity within Bosnia and Herzegovina’s defense manufacturing sector.
BNT – Tvornica Masina i Hidraulike Novi Travnik (BNT-TMiH) reported its strongest financial performance since the 1990s, according to recently published financial data.
The company generated approximately €21.4 million in revenue during the reporting period. Net profit reached around €2.3 million, while total expenditures were reported at about €19.1 million. The figures represent the most favorable financial result recorded by the manufacturer in roughly three decades.
Based in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, BNT Novi Travnik is a key industrial producer of heavy artillery systems and related mechanical components. Its manufacturing portfolio includes mortars, recoilless weapons, artillery platforms, and large-caliber gun components.
The company forms part of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s defense industrial base, which includes several manufacturers originating from the former Yugoslav military-industrial complex. These companies remain active primarily in export markets and supply various components, weapons systems, and ammunition.
Industry observers link the improved financial performance to sustained global demand for artillery systems and conventional land-warfare equipment. The trend has intensified in recent years as European and international customers expand procurement of artillery and related systems.
Company representatives previously indicated that workforce expansion could follow if production levels continue to increase. Such steps would further strengthen the Novi Travnik facility’s role within Bosnia and Herzegovina’s defense manufacturing sector.
