CSG Joins Munich Security Conference as First Czech Industry Partner
Czech defense and industrial group CSG participated as a partner of the Munich Security Conference for the first time this year. The move positions the company among a limited group of industrial actors engaged in high-level transatlantic security discussions.
The Czech-based industrial and defense group CSG has become an official partner of the Munich Security Conference, marking the first time a Czech company has taken on such a role. The company indicated that it may also be the first firm from Central and Eastern Europe to enter into this level of engagement with the forum.
The Munich Security Conference serves as a platform for heads of state, senior government officials, military leaders, and industry representatives to assess global security trends and coordinate policy approaches. Participation as a partner places CSG within discussions focused on European defense readiness, transatlantic cooperation, and long-term capability development.
According to the company, the conference this year underscored continued political commitment to the transatlantic relationship. Discussions emphasized the need for European countries to expand their own defense capacities while maintaining close coordination with the United States.
CSG, which operates production and industrial assets across Europe and in the United States, views this dual presence as strategically relevant in the current security environment. The company stated that stability in transatlantic cooperation and a shared approach to responsibility are critical for long-term defense-industrial planning.
Russia’s war against Ukraine continues to shape the European security landscape. The company noted that armed conflicts are the result of political decisions and aggression, and characterized the defense industry as a structural response to security threats rather than a driver of escalation. In this context, strengthening European defense capabilities was described as a preventive measure aimed at deterrence.
By joining the Munich Security Conference as a partner, CSG signals its intention to engage more directly in policy-level discussions that affect procurement priorities, industrial resilience, and NATO interoperability across the continent.
