CSG Launches Two New AI Companies to Drive Aerospace and Defense Innovation

Czechoslovak Group (CSG) has launched two new artificial intelligence companies — JATISmro and Tendrio — aimed at improving maintenance efficiency and accelerating tender evaluations. The move strengthens CSG’s position as a technology leader in aerospace and defense innovation.

CSG Launches Two New AI Companies to Drive Aerospace and Defense Innovation

The Czech industrial and technology holding Czechoslovak Group (CSG), owned by entrepreneur Michal Strnad, has established two new companies focused on artificial intelligence — JATISmro and Tendrio — further expanding its footprint in advanced digital systems for aerospace and defense.

According to a CSG press release, JATISmro will specialize in optimizing aircraft and large-vehicle maintenance using predictive AI models, while Tendrio will focus on accelerating tender documentation analysis for industrial and defense procurement. Both firms are part of CSG AI, a newly formed subdivision within CSG Aerospace, dedicated to developing and deploying next-generation AI tools across the group’s operations.

The systems were developed over several years by CS Soft, another CSG company recognized for its aviation software solutions. Tomáš Richtr, Chief Operating Officer of CS Soft, will head both new entities.

“JATISmro leverages advanced AI algorithms to predict the time required for specific maintenance tasks,” Richtr explained. “It generates optimized maintenance sequences based on the aircraft’s configuration, project phase, spare parts availability, and tool readiness — resulting in significantly more efficient inventory management and reduced downtime.”

Initially, the new platforms will serve internal clients across the CSG network, but the company plans to expand their use to external customers in both civil and defense sectors.

CSG’s AI Strategy Expands
The launch of JATISmro and Tendrio underscores CSG’s broader ambition to strengthen its position in AI-driven solutions, with future plans including acquisitions of startups and companies specializing in artificial intelligence. “We do not comment on potential acquisitions until they are finalized,” CSG spokesperson Andrej Čírtek noted.

The holding already offers other AI-enabled tools, such as Lumnio, a remote maintenance and service software, and last year it acquired Smartoo, a provider of augmented-reality software for industrial applications.

Financial Strength
CSG
reported a tripling of net profit in 2024 to €526.1 million (approx. CZK 13.2 billion), with total revenue rising more than twofold to €4 billion (approx. CZK 100.5 billion). The defense sector accounted for 83.6% of total sales, while CSG Aerospace represented 6.8%.

With the new AI-focused entities, CSG continues to evolve from a traditional defense and manufacturing conglomerate into a technology-driven group, positioning itself as one of Europe’s most dynamic industrial innovators at the intersection of aerospace, AI, and defense.
