Celje, Slovenia — Croatia’s DOK-ING and Slovenia’s Valhalla Turrets have formally joined forces under a newly signed Teaming Agreement at the SIDEC 2025 defense exhibition — a move that cements one of the region’s most significant cross-border industrial partnerships in defense robotics and counter-UAS technology.

The agreement marks a strategic deepening of cooperation between two companies that share a vision for next-generation defense innovation. Together, they plan to develop advanced unmanned ground systems (UGVs), counter-UAS, and very/short-range air defense (V/SHORAD) platforms, combining DOK-ING’s battle-proven robotic expertise with Valhalla’s precision turret and sensor technologies.

“We have once again demonstrated our high level of technological readiness and the ability to recognize the market’s real needs,” said Gordan Pesic, CEO of DOK-ING, following the signing.
“This partnership also stands as recognition for both Croatia and Slovenia — proving that competitive, globally relevant defense systems are possible through close collaboration between private industry and public institutions.”

MV-8 Komodo + Mangart 25 AD: Regional Innovation on Display

At SIDEC 2025, the two companies unveiled the MV-8 Komodo + Mangart 25 AD — a fully integrated, unmanned counter-UAS and combat support system that merges mobility, precision, and survivability in one modular platform.

The system is designed to provide unmanned C-UAS, anti-armor, and combat support capabilities, enabling armed forces to respond decisively to complex multi-domain threats while reducing risk to personnel.

Built on DOK-ING’s KOMODO UGV chassis and equipped with Valhalla’s Mangart 25 AD remote turret, the platform can perform missions across C-UAS/vSHORAD, mobility, counter-mobility, CBRNe, and other tactical roles — offering a versatile backbone for modern ground operations.

Engineered to deliver high reliability and autonomy in contested environments, the Komodo-Mangart system represents a milestone in regional defense industrial cooperation — one that underscores the rising technological capabilities of the Adriatic defense ecosystem.

A Regional Partnership with Global Reach

The DOK-ING–Valhalla partnership reflects a growing trend among South-East European defense manufacturers to integrate expertise, pool resources, and accelerate innovation toward NATO and export markets.

By aligning their engineering strengths and modular designs, both companies aim to position their joint systems competitively within Europe’s evolving C-UAS and autonomous defense sectors, while highlighting the potential of smaller nations to contribute cutting-edge solutions to global defense needs.

SIDEC 2025 showcased this synergy vividly — not only as a presentation of advanced hardware but as a testament to what regional collaboration can achieve when guided by vision and technical discipline.

“The MV-8 Komodo + Mangart 25 AD is more than a product — it’s a statement of intent,” said one defense analyst at SIDEC. “It shows that Croatia and Slovenia can innovate together at the very front line of military technology.”

As DOK-ING continues to expand its global footprint and Valhalla Turrets refines its advanced weapon modules, the partnership between the two companies signals a new chapter for the regional defense industry — one defined by modularity, automation, and cross-border collaboration.
