DOK-ING is deepening its role in Europe’s unmanned systems ecosystem after strengthening several high-level industrial partnerships during a Croatian government visit to Berlin. The delegation, led by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, met German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to discuss economic ties, defence cooperation and joint technology development.

Growing Network in the German Defence Sector

The Zagreb-based robotics manufacturer has maintained a footprint in Germany for years, but its defence-oriented portfolio has triggered a new wave of industrial cooperation. Alongside an existing strategic partnership with Rheinmetall, DOK-ING has expanded collaboration with major German players including RENK, Dynamit Nobel Defence, and General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS).

These engagements revolve around integrating advanced mobility components, survivability technologies and mission-critical subsystems into DOK-ING’s unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) families—capabilities increasingly demanded by European armed forces.

MoU Signed With KNDS Tracks

A notable outcome of the Berlin visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with KNDS Tracks. The cooperation focuses on evaluating and integrating next-generation tracked solutions into DOK-ING’s military engineering UGVs, boosting mobility, system resilience and modularity for demanding combat-support missions.

The agreement positions both companies to jointly develop platforms tailored for demining, breaching, route clearance and other high-risk tasks where unmanned systems increasingly take the lead.

Bilateral Momentum Driving Industrial Integration

The political backdrop of renewed Croatian-German cooperation gives additional weight to these initiatives. With both governments seeking deeper defence and industrial ties, companies such as DOK-ING stand to benefit from aligned procurement priorities and streamlined development pathways.

DOK-ING says these partnerships strengthen its long-term vision: creating advanced autonomous and remotely operated systems capable of meeting modern battlefield requirements while accelerating Europe’s technological resilience.
