Excalibur Army Opens New 6,600 m² Production Hall, Signs Landmark Agreement on Leopard 2A8 Support
Excalibur Army has inaugurated a new 6,600 m² production hall in Sternberk, marking a major expansion of Czech defense manufacturing.

Sternberk – Excalibur Army, a key member of the Czechoslovak Group (CSG), has reached a major milestone in its industrial expansion with the ceremonial opening of a new 6,600 m² production hall. The event marks a significant step in strengthening the Czech Republic’s defense manufacturing and maintenance capabilities.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Defence, led by Minister Jana Černochová, alongside representatives of Excalibur Army and CSG.

As part of the event, Excalibur Army and KNDS Deutschland signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlining their intent to cooperate on the maintenance, repair, and modernization of Leopard 2A8 main battle tanks operated by the Army of the Czech Republic. The agreement establishes a framework for long-term industrial collaboration, aiming to provide efficient lifecycle support for the Leopard 2A8 fleet within the Czech Republic.
The newly inaugurated hall is designed for assembly of the company’s full product portfolio, including tracked and wheeled vehicles such as howitzers, rocket launchers, tanks, combat vehicles, bridge systems, and recovery or special-purpose vehicles.
With this investment, Excalibur Army continues to enhance its role as a strategic defense manufacturer in Central Europe, contributing to NATO’s collective readiness and Europe’s defense autonomy.
