Guardiaris to Supply Mobile Training Simulator to Dutch Defence Ministry

Guardiaris has won a contract from the Dutch Ministry of Defence to supply a mobile small-arms training simulator for JKC Schieten facilities. The container-based Mobile Training Center will deliver highly realistic, deployable soldier training using Guardiaris’ in-house GUARD® simulation engine.

Guardiaris has secured a contract with the Dutch Ministry of Defence to deliver a Mobile Training Center (MTC) for the JKC Schieten small-arms training facilities, marking another step in the Netherlands’ effort to modernise soldier training through advanced simulation technologies.

The agreement was accompanied by a working visit in Amersfoort, where representatives of the Dutch Armed Forces and other stakeholders observed a live, dynamic demonstration of the MTC, showcasing its capabilities in a realistic training setting.

The Guardiaris MTC is a fully self-contained, mobile small-arms training solution housed in a standard-sized, expandable container. Designed for global deployment, the system can be set up and operated virtually anywhere, allowing armed forces to bring training infrastructure directly to units rather than requiring personnel to travel to fixed facilities.

At the core of the MTC is the GUARD® simulation engine, developed in-house by Guardiaris. The system delivers a highly immersive training experience through detailed virtual environments, scenario customisation, surround sound, vibration effects, and the use of real service weapons adapted for simulation. This combination is intended to closely replicate operational conditions while maintaining a safe and controlled training environment.

According to Guardiaris, the MTC offers significant advantages over the current small-arms simulators in use by JKC. The key benefits include increased realism, flexible scenario design, and full mobility. By relocating the simulator to where troops are stationed, the Dutch Armed Forces can reduce travel time and costs, while enabling more frequent and accessible training cycles.

“I am honoured to express our gratitude to the professional teams of the Dutch Armed Forces, who selected Guardiaris technology as a leading benchmark in understanding the training demands of future soldier generations. Guardiaris once again proved its technological superiority,” said Guardiaris CEO Primož Peterca.

The Mobile Training Center is scheduled for delivery in mid-2026 and will initially be deployed for testing at three JKC-operated basic training facilities. Based on operational feedback and performance during this evaluation phase, the Dutch Ministry of Defence may consider Guardiaris simulators as a replacement for JKC’s existing light infantry weapon simulation systems.

The contract reinforces Guardiaris’ growing footprint in the European defence training market and highlights the increasing demand among NATO members for mobile, high-fidelity simulation solutions that align with modern force-readiness requirements.
