IWA OutdoorClassics 2026 Opens With Expanded Focus on Crisis Preparedness and Supply Security
The 2026 IWA OutdoorClassics trade fair in Nuremberg introduces crisis preparedness as a central theme, reflecting industry interest in resilience and civilian security. Sessions and expert panels will examine supply chain security and survival-oriented products for specialised retail.
NÜRNBERG — The 2026 edition of IWA OutdoorClassics, the flagship trade fair for the civilian hunting, shooting sports and outdoor industry, opens Thursday in Nuremberg with an expanded programme centred on crisis preparedness and civilian resilience.
Organised annually by NürnbergMesse GmbH, IWA OutdoorClassics runs from 26 February to 1 March 2026 at the Messezentrum Nuremberg and remains a key international business platform for manufacturers, distributors and specialist retailers from across the globe.
Under the banner “From Survival to Crisis Preparedness — a New Growth Market,” the trade fair’s IWA VISIONsegment has elevated crisis-related topics to a strategic focus for the specialist trade. The shift reflects wider industry and public interest in resilience, supply security and emergency-oriented equipment within the civilian market.
The fair’s expert programme includes keynote sessions and panel discussions on topics such as civilian supply security and the role of specialist retailers in advising on and providing crisis-relevant products. One highlight on the SHOOTING EXPERTS’ Stage will address how secure supply chains can better support the population during disruptions.
The emphasis on crisis preparedness sits alongside IWA’s core showcase of firearms, ammunition, optics, outdoor equipment, airsoft and tactical gear, offering attendees a broad view of current market offerings and future commercial opportunities.
IWA OutdoorClassics remains a strictly trade-only event, with access for industry professionals, decision makers and the trade press. It brings together a worldwide audience to explore technology, network and identify emerging trends in the civilian security and outdoor sector.
