Serbian MB–Namenska Focuses on Production Modernization and Industry Capacity

Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić visited the Milan Blagojević–Namenska defense company in Lučani to review current operations and discuss the company’s role in the national defense industry. The meeting focused on business performance, production development, and workforce conditions.

Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić visited the defense manufacturer Milan Blagojević–Namenska in Lučani, where he held talks with company leadership on current operations and the firm’s contribution to the country’s defense sector. 

During the visit, Gašić met with general director Predrag Ilić and senior management to review recent business results and discuss the company’s role within Serbia’s defense system. According to the Ministry of Defense, the discussions also addressed potential measures aimed at improving operational performance and working conditions for employees. 

Officials indicated that the defense industry remains an important component of Serbia’s national security framework as well as a contributor to broader economic development. The ministry stated that the government intends to continue supporting domestic defense manufacturers through investments in production modernization, initiatives to strengthen export potential, and efforts to improve workforce conditions across the sector. 

The ministry described Milan Blagojević–Namenska as a key element of the country’s defense-industrial base. The company, headquartered in Lučani, manufactures energetic materials and other products used in military applications and represents one of the major employers in the Moravica District. 

The meeting was also attended by acting Assistant Minister for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović and the minister’s chief of staff, Colonel Nikola Matović, according to the Ministry of Defense.
