Regulus Global has confirmed that it has begun accelerated execution of a capital investment valued at approximately $25 million in Pretis, advancing a modernization phase originally scheduled for 2026 into 2025.

The investment, implemented in cooperation with institutions of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, focuses on upgrading core production capabilities at Pretis, one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s key defense-industrial enterprises. According to the company, the acceleration reflects both institutional coordination and confidence in local technical capacity.

The modernization program includes the installation of advanced heat induction and heat treatment systems, an upgraded heavy press designed to support the production of multiple large-caliber munitions, and a new nosing press intended to improve manufacturing precision and consistency. Regulus Global described these investments as structural upgrades aimed at strengthening long-term industrial performance rather than short-term output increases.

Company representatives emphasized that the investment is intended to enhance industrial resilience, product quality, and competitiveness while supporting skilled employment and knowledge transfer within Bosnia and Herzegovina’s defense sector. The upgrades are also expected to contribute to supply stability for European and allied partners reliant on dependable manufacturing capacity.

Regulus Global stated that the project is being carried out within existing legal and regulatory frameworks, with continued cooperation with public institutions and oversight bodies. The company reiterated its position that transparency, institutional dialogue, and accountability are essential to sustainable industrial development.

The accelerated $25 million phase forms part of a broader multi-year investment plan. Regulus Global has previously indicated its intention to invest more than $100 million in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s defense manufacturing industry over time, with Pretis identified as a central pillar of that strategy.

Commenting on the investment, Joseph L. Wallis, President and Chief Executive Officer of Regulus Global, said that advancing the modernization ahead of schedule reflects a long-term commitment to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s industrial base and to delivering measurable results through execution rather than timelines alone.
