Belgrade - President and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić convened a high-level briefing today focused on the country’s energy security posture and supply resilience. The session included Defence Minister Bratislav Gašić and Chief of the General Staff Gen. Milan Mojsilović, underscoring that energy stability remains treated as a national-security priority rather than a sectoral issue.

The President was presented with a detailed status report on strategic fuel and gas reserves, current stockpiles, and disruption risk models affecting national supply lines. According to the briefing, several parallel scenarios were tabled — from market volatility and sanctions spillover to regional infrastructure bottlenecks and crisis-response pacing.

Vučić emphasized that Serbia’s institutions must remain at full operational readiness, especially in conditions where sanctions indirectly distort energy access and pricing mechanisms. He reiterated that accelerated state intervention, coordinated response between ministries, and real-time communication channels are essential to protecting households, industry, and strategic facilities.

The President also signaled that public communication will remain transparent, insisting there is no cause for panic and that critical gas and fuel distribution systems are currently stabilized.

“Citizens must be continuously informed, and they must not worry. All necessary steps have been implemented to secure uninterrupted functioning of our key supply systems,” Vučić stated following the meeting.

Adria Defense will continue monitoring Serbia’s energy-security posture, crisis-protocol developments, and military-civil coordination structures tied to critical infrastructure protection.
