STEYR ARMS GmbH has announced the appointment of Petr Šnobl as Chief Operating Officer, marking a senior management change at the Austrian firearms manufacturer.

According to the company, Šnobl brings close to two decades of international experience from the automotive and manufacturing sectors. His background includes senior operational roles with a focus on production management, process optimization, and organizational development.

STEYR ARMS indicated that Šnobl’s experience in operational excellence and lean transformation is expected to support both day-to-day manufacturing performance and longer-term strategic development. The appointment comes as European defense manufacturers continue to adapt their industrial structures to shifting demand patterns and stricter delivery requirements across military and law enforcement markets.

While the company did not disclose specific operational priorities linked to the new role, the COO position typically plays a central part in aligning production capacity, supply chains, and workforce development with corporate strategy.
