TRB Advances International Ties with Turkish Partners in Bid to Expand Global Footprint
Bosnia and Herzegovina’s TRB is intensifying cooperation with Turkish defense firms while seeking broader international engagement. The company is leveraging partnerships with major Turkish suppliers to enhance its product range and competitiveness.
Bosnia and Herzegovina–based defense manufacturer TRB is pursuing deeper collaboration with Turkish defense companies as part of efforts to strengthen its role in international defense markets, the company owner and general director said in an interview with DefenseHere.
Slavenko Ristic highlighted Ankara’s industrial ecosystem as an important partner network for Balkan industry players. He identified Turkish missile and munitions producer Roketsan as a key client and collaborator, signaling TRB’s intent to align with established suppliers to enhance its technical capabilities and regional competitiveness.
In addition to cooperation with Turkish firms, TRB maintains an established presence in Egypt’s defense supply sector, particularly in electronic and mechanical fuses, which Ristic described as a successful export segment.
TRB also manufactures armored vehicles, asserting that its platforms, including the Despot and Vihor models, are designed and developed entirely in-house to meet military standards, including dedicated chassis and proprietary intellectual property control. Though these systems were not exhibited at the most recent industry event, the company provided technical details to prospective partners and indicated plans for future demonstrations.
The company’s strategic focus on international alliances and technology development reflects broader trends in the Balkan defense sector, where smaller firms seek integration into global supply chains through partnerships with larger, internationally active defense industries.
