WiseBee Raises €2.1M to Bring Autonomous Cyber Defense to Mid-Market Companies
The US–Bulgarian startup builds AI-powered security agents for real-time risk detection and remediation, aiming to deliver enterprise-grade protection to mid-sized organizations.

NEW YORK / SOFIA – WiseBee, a US–Bulgarian cybersecurity startup developing autonomous, AI-driven cyber defense solutions, has raised €2.1 million in pre-Seed funding to accelerate the rollout of its Agentic cyber risk mitigation platform for mid-market companies.
The funding round was led by Frontline Ventures and BrightCap Ventures, with participation from a U.S.-based investment firm and several angel investors experienced in the cybersecurity sector.
Founded in 2024 by Stoyan Stoyanov (CEO) and Taha Kazi (CDO), WiseBee operates between New York and Sofiaand aims to redefine cybersecurity for organizations with 200–2,000 employees in regulated industries such as finance, FinTech, healthcare, and digital identity.
“Most cybersecurity tools are reactive and built for large enterprises with big budgets,” said Stoyanov. “We’re building an autonomous system of AI agents that continuously detect and mitigate risks — 24/7 — making enterprise-grade security accessible to mid-sized organizations.”
AI-Powered, Autonomous Cybersecurity
WiseBee’s platform acts as an AI brain above the security stack, integrating threat intelligence, attack surface monitoring, and vendor risk management into a single autonomous system.
Unlike traditional solutions that only raise alerts, WiseBee’s AI agents take automated remediation actions, cutting incident response times from days to hours.
“Cybersecurity is shifting from alerts to intelligent actions,” said Dimitar Korsakov, Principal at BrightCap Ventures. “WiseBee delivers on that vision through AI-native agents that go beyond detection to full remediation.”
The startup is currently running pilot programs with CISOs across FinTech, banking, government, defense, and telecom, and reports strong early adoption in CEE, the UK, DACH, and the U.S. West Coast.
Use Cases and Early Customers
WiseBee’s platform is already deployed in a variety of high-security environments:
- A global FinTech unicorn uses WiseBee to streamline vendor risk and accelerate response times.
- A next-gen SpaceTech company leverages the system to secure cloud and vendor ecosystems.
- A U.S. local government utilizes WiseBee for third-party monitoring and automated vulnerability resolution.
- A Bulgarian bank and a pan-European FinTech provider, both DORA-regulated, rely on WiseBee for attack surface management.
Founders’ Background
Stoyanov, a serial founder, previously led product at SecurityScorecard, contributing to its growth beyond unicorn status.
Kazi brings experience from SecurityScorecard, Deloitte, and Amazon, specializing in AI automation and data engineering for security applications.
“AI introduces both new opportunities and threats,” said Zoe Chambers, Partner at Frontline Ventures. “WiseBee’s approach — autonomous security agents with full remediation — is exactly what overextended infosec teams need.”
