At this year’s IWA OutdoorClassics exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany-based Albrecht Kind GmbH and Austria’s STEYR ARMS GmbH formalized an exclusive distribution agreement covering the German market.

Under the arrangement, AKAH will serve as the sole distributor of STEYR ARMS products in Germany. The agreement consolidates an existing relationship between the two companies and formalizes market responsibilities in one of Europe’s largest civilian firearms markets.

AKAH, founded in 1853, is one of Germany’s established wholesalers for hunting, sporting firearms, and outdoor equipment. STEYR ARMS, established in 1864, manufactures rifles and small arms for civilian, law enforcement, and military customers. Both companies maintain longstanding positions within the European small arms sector.

The timing of the announcement at IWA OutdoorClassics aligns with the first-quarter cycle of international defense and hunting trade fairs, which often serve as platforms for product launches and distribution agreements. While the agreement focuses on the civilian and sporting segment, distribution structures in Germany remain strategically relevant due to the country’s regulatory framework and market scale.

No financial details or delivery timelines were disclosed. The companies indicated that the partnership is intended to strengthen their joint presence in sport shooting and hunting segments within Germany.
