CSG Launches Europe’s Most Advanced Large-Calibre Ammunition Filling Line in Slovakia
Czechoslovak Group has launched Europe’s most advanced large-calibre ammunition filling line at ZVS Holding in Slovakia, significantly boosting production capacity and reinforcing the country’s role as a key European ammunition manufacturing hub.
Czechoslovak Group (CSG) has reached a major industrial milestone with the official launch of a new state-of-the-art large-calibre ammunition filling line at ZVS Holding in Dubnica nad Váhom, Slovakia. The facility, operated by ZVS Holding as part of MSM Group, is described as the most advanced large-calibre filling line currently in operation in Europe.
The new auger-based filling line represents a significant technological leap, combining a high level of automation with enhanced precision and safety standards. It is designed to substantially increase production efficiency while reducing operational risks, strengthening CSG’s ability to meet rising European and NATO demand for large-calibre ammunition.
Since 2022, CSG has been implementing a large-scale investment programme focused on rebuilding and expanding critical defence manufacturing capacities in Europe. This long-term strategy, backed by rapid execution and significant capital investment, has been a key factor behind the group’s strong growth across the defence sector.
With the commissioning of the Dubnica nad Váhom line, CSG moves closer to its strategic objective of exceeding one million rounds of large-calibre ammunition produced annually across the group. The new capacity is expected to play a central role in meeting future contracts and reinforcing supply security for European armed forces.
For Slovakia, the project marks another step toward establishing the country as a key European hub for modern ammunition production, while also supporting skilled employment and advanced engineering know-how in the region. For CSG, it underlines a long-term commitment to European security, industrial sovereignty, and the revitalisation of strategically important defence-industrial sites.
The project was implemented in close cooperation with the Slovak Ministry of Defence, with CSG highlighting the role of public-private collaboration in strengthening Europe’s defense industrial base.
