Sarajevo — The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Prime Minister, Nermin Niksic, held an urgent meeting this afternoon with the Management and Supervisory Board of UNIS Ginex d.d. Gorazde, addressing the ongoing crisis and workers’ demands that led to repeated production stoppages at the strategic ammunition manufacturer.

Following the meeting, the Supervisory Board adopted a formal Decision on wage adjustment, introducing a new hourly rate of 6.15 KM for Ginex employees. The measure aligns with the Collective Agreement for the metal production and processing sector in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The new rate will remain in effect for six months, through February 28, 2026, as part of a temporary framework aimed at stabilizing operations and restoring regular production at the Gorazde plant.

According to the conclusions from the meeting, the company’s Management is tasked with implementing the decision and reporting monthly to both the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry and the Supervisory Board on all financial aspects of its execution.

The agreement marks a significant step in de-escalating tensions between Ginex workers and company leadership, following weeks of uncertainty and production disruptions. As one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s key defense exporters, Ginex’s operational stability is considered essential for both the local economy and the broader defense-industrial complex in the region.
