AdriaDefense is an independent English-language defense and security publication covering Central, Eastern and Southeast Europe, from the Baltic to the Adriatic and Black Sea regions.
Our reporting focuses on defense procurement, military modernization, defense industry developments, emerging technologies, security policy and international defense cooperation. We also cover relevant NATO, European and global defense developments when they affect the region or its defense-industrial ecosystem.
Editorial Independence
AdriaDefense maintains editorial independence from governments, armed forces, defense contractors, advertisers, sponsors and commercial partners.
Editorial decisions are based on news value, relevance, accuracy and the interests of our professional readership.
We do not accept payment for independent editorial coverage.
Advertising, sponsorship or other commercial relationships do not guarantee coverage and do not provide commercial partners with control over independent editorial decisions.
Sources and Verification
AdriaDefense relies on sources including official government and military statements, procurement documents, company disclosures, regulatory filings, public records, verified industry sources, direct interviews and recognized research institutions.
We seek to verify material claims before publication and distinguish confirmed information from estimates, expectations or claims made by third parties.
Where information originates from a company, government, military organization or other interested party, AdriaDefense attributes that information accordingly.
When information cannot be independently verified, we aim to make its status and source clear to readers.
Anonymous and Confidential Sources
AdriaDefense may use confidential or unnamed sources when the information is considered newsworthy and there is a legitimate reason to protect the identity of the source.

Corrections and Updates
When a material factual error is identified, AdriaDefense aims to correct it promptly and transparently.
Where appropriate, a correction or editor's note will be added to the article explaining the material change.
