Serbia has signed new defense investment and procurement contracts at Partner 2025 to expand production capacities and modernize its Armed Forces. The agreements mark a major step in strengthening Serbia’s domestic defense industry.

Belgrade, October 3, 2025 – The Ministry of Defence of Serbia has signed a new series of investment and procurement contracts with leading domestic defense industry companies, marking the continuation of Serbia’s ambitious modernization and rearmament program.

At the 12th International Armament and Military Equipment Exhibition – Partner 2025, Defence Minister Bratislav Gašić oversaw the signing of contracts as part of the third investment cycle aimed at expanding the production capacities of companies within the Serbian Defence Industry Group (SDIG). The agreements also include new procurements of advanced weapons and military systems for the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces (SAF).

Assistant Minister for Material Resources, Dr. Nenad Miloradović, and representatives of numerous defense manufacturers attended the ceremony held at the Belgrade Fair.

“These contracts represent another milestone in strengthening the technological capabilities and production potential of our domestic factories. We are ensuring that Serbia can independently develop, produce, and modernize priority defense systems for the Serbian Armed Forces, following the directives of the President and Supreme Commander, Aleksandar Vučić,” said Minister Gašić.

According to the Ministry, the total value of signed contracts for 2025 has significantly increased, continuing Serbia’s long-term investment strategy in its defense-industrial base. The deals cover both infrastructure investments and procurements of new weapons and equipment.

Key Companies Involved

Contracts were signed with leading Serbian defense manufacturers, including:
Prva Iskra – namenska proizvodnja, Milan Blagojević – namenska, Prvi Partizan, Zastava oružje, Sloboda, Krušik, Prva Petoletka – namenska, Teleoptik – žiroskopi, Zastava TERVO, FAP korporacija, Zastava Kovačnica, PPT TMO, Trayal korporacija, JUMKO, and Tigar.

These agreements will finance investment projects throughout 2025, supporting production expansion, modernization, and R&D across Serbia’s defense-industrial network.

Additionally, procurement contracts were concluded between the Ministry of Defence and several companies, including Zastava oružje, Zastava TERVO, Teleoptik-žiroskopi, JUMKO, Romax Trade, and the state-owned Jugoimport SDPR.

Significant Growth and Modernization

Colonel Velibor Jovanović from the Procurement and Sales Department signed the contracts on behalf of the Ministry, alongside Colonel Ivan Pokrajac, Director of the Military Technical Institute, and representatives of Jugoimport-SDPR.

Minister Gašić highlighted the scale of Serbia’s defense investment progress:

“Compared to the 2001–2012 period, the total contract volume has increased 15.5 times. The results of these investments are visible in the modern and sophisticated systems showcased during the ‘Power of Unity’military parade.”

He expressed gratitude to the management of all participating companies and emphasized the government’s expectation for continued dedication to fulfilling contractual goals and delivering cutting-edge capabilities to the Serbian Armed Forces.
