Serbian Defense Minister Gasic Visits Shaanxi Province During Official China Trip
Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic visited China’s Shaanxi Province, meeting with Major General Zhang Wenzhong to discuss defense cooperation and joint projects, concluding a visit aimed at strengthening bilateral military ties.
Serbia’s Minister of Defense Bratislav Gasic visited China’s Shaanxi Province on the final day of his official trip to the People’s Republic of China, where he met with Major General Zhang Wenzhong, Commander of the province.
During the meeting, Commander Zhang briefed Minister Gasic on Shaanxi’s economic potential, defense industry capabilities, and the role of the armed forces in civil protection and emergency response. The visit also provided an opportunity for the Serbian delegation to discuss joint defense projects and future cooperation plans with Chinese partners.
Throughout the multi-day visit to China, Minister Gasic held high-level talks in Beijing with General Zhang Youxia, Vice Chairman of China’s Central Military Commission, and Admiral Dong Jun, Minister of National Defense. The discussions emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral military cooperation and advancing collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
The visit underscores Belgrade’s intent to deepen strategic defense ties with Beijing, particularly in technology exchange, training, and industrial cooperation.
