XTEND AI Robotics, Inc. (NYSE: XTND) announced on October 13 that it had received an order valued at $40.5 million for 6,000 STRIKER systems under the U.S. Department of War’s Drone Dominance Program (DDP).

The order follows XTEND’s selection among the leading performers in the Close Quarters Battle category during Gauntlet II, held at Fort Carson, Colorado, in August 2026.

The company previously delivered and demonstrated 120 STRIKER systems during the competition, which evaluated operational performance, military operator feedback, and production capabilities.

STRIKER operates using XTEND’s proprietary XOS operating system and is designed for tactical missions in confined environments, including locations where Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals are unavailable or unreliable.

Aviv Shapira, co-founder and CEO of XTEND, described the new order as an important step toward expanding the company's production capacity and delivering systems at scale.

XTEND Advances to Gauntlet III

Following its Gauntlet II selection, XTEND is eligible to advance directly to Gauntlet III in the Close Quarters Battle category of Phase 3, bypassing the open solicitation and initial evaluation stages.

However, participation remains conditional on completing a separate 400-system production order. XTEND emphasized that advancing to Gauntlet III does not guarantee additional contracts.

The Drone Dominance Program is a multistage U.S. defense procurement initiative intended to accelerate the acquisition of affordable unmanned systems through competitive testing and production assessments.

The latest order is separate from XTEND's previously announced Phase III award under U.S. Special Operations Command's Modular Kinetic Lethal Drone program in September 2026.
