The Israeli DefenseTech Innovation Day 2026 is scheduled for October 25 in Tel Aviv, bringing defense companies, startups and investors together to discuss how emerging technology reaches military buyers. Venture firm 10D, law firm Meitar and Protego Ventures lead the event, whose published agenda focuses on procurement, dual-use technology and autonomous systems.
David Chinn, a senior partner at McKinsey & Company who leads its defense practice in Europe, is scheduled to present a 2027 defense technology market overview. A panel on moving from pilots to procurement programs includes Inbal Kreiss of Israel Aerospace Industries, Spectralx co-founder Asaf Picciotto, Ace Capital managing partner Shimon Tsentsiper and Irit Idan, a former research and development executive at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.
Another panel will examine the transition from commercial technology to defense use, with speakers from Elbit Systems, Remondo, Tenna Systems and Orca AI. The autonomous systems session lists XTEND co-founder and CEO Aviv Shapira among its speakers. Separate discussions feature D-Fend Solutions chairman and CEO Zohar Halachmi and KELA co-founder and CEO Alon Dror.
The procurement discussion has a practical point of reference for readers beyond Israel. AdriaDefense recently reported that XTEND was named among the top performers in a U.S. drone competition, while noting that the result did not itself guarantee a final order.
