German defense group Rheinmetall announced plans to participate in BSDA 2026, the Black Sea Defense and Aerospace exhibition scheduled to take place in Bucharest. The company said it will present a portfolio covering land, air and naval defense capabilities aimed at NATO and regional security requirements.

According to the manufacturer, the exhibition lineup will include combat vehicle solutions, air defense technologies, ammunition products, and naval systems. Rheinmetall is also expected to emphasize integrated battlefield capabilities and support services linked to long term military modernization programs.

The company has expanded its presence across Central and Eastern Europe in recent years through industrial partnerships, local production initiatives, and procurement support activities. Romania has become an increasingly important market as the country continues to invest in defense modernization and NATO interoperability.

BSDA has developed into one of the region’s main defense industry events, bringing together manufacturers, government officials, armed forces representatives, and suppliers from across Europe and allied countries. The 2026 edition is expected to focus on regional security challenges, industrial cooperation, and defense technology integration.

Rheinmetall’s participation reflects continued competition among European and international defense companies seeking opportunities linked to rising defense spending in Eastern Europe and the Black Sea region.
