Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić visited Zastava Arms and Zastava TERVO in Kragujevac on October 12, 2026, to review their manufacturing operations, existing contracts and investment plans. The two companies form part of Serbia's domestic defense industry, producing weapons, military vehicles and related equipment.

During the visit, Gašić met with Saša Milošević, General Director of Zastava Arms, and Stefan Đurić, Acting Director of Zastava TERVO. Discussions covered current business performance, the implementation of previously signed contracts and investment projects intended to improve manufacturing capabilities.

At Zastava Arms, the minister inspected facilities producing cannons and machine guns, along with cannon assembly workshops within the company's product design and development division.

Zastava Arms is one of Serbia's established weapons manufacturers, producing military firearms including assault rifles, machine guns, sniper rifles and automatic cannons.

At Zastava TERVO, Gašić toured production facilities and the company's technical development and research department. The manufacturer specializes in military and special-purpose vehicles, including armored and non-armored platforms for the Serbian Armed Forces.

Its product portfolio includes the M20 mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicle, NTV off-road vehicles and the PASARS-16 6x6 air defense platform.

According to the Serbian Ministry of Defense, Gašić emphasized the importance of maintaining domestic expertise, transferring technical knowledge to younger employees and continuing investment in weapons manufacturing capabilities.

The discussions also addressed workforce conditions and the implementation of ongoing industrial projects.

The visit was attended by Acting Assistant Minister for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović, Major General Slavko Rakić, Head of the Defense Technologies Department, and Kragujevac Mayor Nikola Dašić.

The Ministry of Defense did not announce new production contracts, investment amounts or additional manufacturing facilities during the visit. No updated production volumes or delivery schedules were disclosed.
