TRB Plans Serbia Factory, Expects Armored Vehicle Order
Bosnian TRB plans a factory in Serbia and expects an armored vehicle order. Separately, it reports €20M–€30M in US-market fuze contracts.
Bosnia and Herzegovina-based Tehnički remont Bratunac (TRB) plans to open a factory in Loznica, Serbia, as it anticipates a Serbian order for its Despot and Vihor armored vehicles. Majority owner Slavenko Ristić outlined the proposed facility and vehicle purchase. Separately, TRB has reported contracts valued at approximately €20 million to €30 million for mechanical and electronic ammunition fuzes destined for the US market.
Serbia plant and vehicle purchase remain at the planning stage
Ristić said TRB expects to receive a contract under which Serbia would buy Despot and Vihor vehicles. He did not provide a vehicle count, contract value or delivery schedule. The company has also not disclosed an opening date, investment figure or precise production scope for its proposed Loznica facility.
The available reporting records an announced factory plan and an expected vehicle purchase. It does not establish that the facility is complete or provide details of a signed procurement contract. If the project proceeds, production in Loznica would give the Bratunac manufacturer an industrial presence across the border.
TRB describes Despot as a 4x4 armored multipurpose vehicle that can carry up to nine people. Its Vihor is a lighter 4x4 tactical vehicle built around a modular chassis. US fuze contracts cover a separate product line
The reported US business predates the Loznica announcement. In a September 4 interview with Glas Srpske, Ristić said TRB had signed contracts for electronic and mechanical fuzes for the US market, with a reported combined value of approximately €20 million to €30 million. He said production was under way at that time, while deliveries had yet to begin.
Neither the identity of the US customer nor the contract delivery schedule was disclosed. The reported amount represents contract value; it should not be read as revenue already realized or as a US government procurement award.
TRB’s published fuze catalog lists products for artillery, mortars, rockets and 40 mm ammunition. The company has not identified which models are covered by the reported US agreements. Those fuze contracts and the anticipated Serbian armored vehicle purchase involve different product lines.
TRB has also discussed moving an existing ammunition box manufacturing and packaging unit from Bratunac to Osmaci, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ristić said earlier in September that the company hoped to complete that move by the end of 2026, potentially creating around ten jobs. The next concrete markers for the Serbia project are a disclosed vehicle order and details of construction and production at Loznica.
