CSG Polska and WSK PZL-Kalisz have agreed to pursue industrial cooperation focused on the production of engines and related systems for heavy-duty off-road trucks in Poland.

The companies signed a letter of intent establishing a framework for cooperation in manufacturing, servicing, modernization, and integration of powertrain technologies intended for military platforms and specialized vehicles. WSK PZL-Kalisz is part of Poland’s state-owned PGZ Group, while CSG Polska operates under the Czech-based industrial and defense group CSG.

According to the companies, the planned cooperation is intended to strengthen Polish industrial capacity in engine production and associated technologies. The project is also expected to support servicing and maintenance capabilities for military vehicle fleets operated by Poland and potentially other NATO and EU member states.

CSG stated that the partnership could include technology transfer and the development of new production competencies at WSK PZL-Kalisz facilities. The company also indicated that the cooperation may later expand into civilian automotive applications.

WSK PZL-Kalisz said the agreement aligns with its long-term specialization in engine production, overhaul, and modernization for military systems. Company officials indicated that the partnership could increase the plant’s role within Polish defense supply chains and support export-oriented programs.

The planned activities are expected to include research and development cooperation alongside manufacturing and support services. Both sides stated that future output could be directed toward international customers, particularly within NATO and European markets.

The agreement follows a broader cooperation framework signed earlier this year between CSG and PGZ. That arrangement covered multiple defense-industrial sectors, including engines for unmanned systems and missiles, ammunition production, land systems, and participation in NATO and EU programs.
