Stockholm-based investment company Front Ventures has completed a €5 million capital raise to support further investments in defense technology companies developing products in Ukraine and Sweden.

The financing was completed through an oversubscribed rights issue of B-shares, with demand reportedly reaching 278 percent of the offering. Existing shareholders participated in the transaction alongside new investor Roglar Holding, an industrial company expected to contribute manufacturing expertise to portfolio companies as they expand production.

Front Ventures focuses on early-stage defense technology firms developing systems that have already progressed beyond the prototype stage. According to the company, priority areas include unmanned systems, software, battlefield communications, and defense supply chain technologies capable of supporting European security requirements.

The firm stated that the new capital will be used to finance companies with demonstrated operational capabilities and the potential to scale manufacturing. Individual investments are expected to range from approximately €200,000 to €2.5 million.

Front Ventures has increasingly concentrated on Ukraine's defense innovation ecosystem, where technologies are being developed and validated under wartime conditions. The company is also an approved investor within Brave1, the Ukrainian government-backed defense technology platform that connects startups with the armed forces and private investors.

Its current portfolio includes SkyHunter, which develops target allocation technology for drone interceptors, Ukrainian propulsion system manufacturer Aeromotors, and Kyiv-based Black Forest Systems, developer of the SHADOX infantry drone platform.

Founded in 2012, Front Ventures originally invested in software, fintech, and blockchain businesses before shifting its strategy toward defense technology. The latest funding reflects continued investor interest in companies developing battlefield-tested capabilities that could be integrated into European and NATO defense industrial supply chains.
