Ondas has received a $56 million order for electronic safe-and-arm devices used in a European loitering munition program, with the contract supported by the company’s manufacturing operations in Poland.

Ondas Inc. has secured a $56 million order for Electronic Safe & Arm Devices (ESADs) for a European loitering munition program, marking the first major ESAD order announced since its acquisition of GATE Technologies and Poland-based Bron Technologies.

The order was secured through Bron Technologies, while Ondas said its production operations in Poland will support the program. The company did not identify the customer, the country involved or the specific loitering munition platform.

ESADs are safety-critical components used to control the arming and initiation of a munition. In a loitering munition, the device sits between the weapon's mission logic and energetic payload, keeping the munition in a safe state during storage, transport, handling and launch before allowing it to arm under defined operational conditions.

Because of their role in the weapon's safety chain, the systems require extensive qualification and manufacturing controls, limiting the number of suppliers capable of producing qualified devices at scale.

Polish production becomes part of Ondas' precision-strike business

The contract comes less than a month after Ondas acquired GATE Technologies and Bron Technologies as part of a broader push into precision-strike and autonomous weapon technologies.

GATE develops electronic safe-and-arm and advanced electronic fuzing technology used across loitering munitions, UAVs, missiles and rockets. Bron provides manufacturing, certification and market access through its operations in Poland.

Ondas described the Polish operation at the time of the acquisition as a NATO-based, non-ITAR production capability, intended to give the company greater access to European defense programs and supply chains.

The September acquisition covered 100% of both GATE Technologies and Bron Technologies. Regulatory filings show an upfront consideration including $105 million in cash and 10.69 million Ondas shares, alongside additional financial provisions and potential earn-out payments.

European loitering munition demand

Ondas said the program is moving into production using technology that has already completed qualification and an established manufacturing base. The company's immediate focus will be on delivery, production quality and scaling capacity in line with customer requirements.

The order also gives Ondas a direct position in the European supply chain for loitering munitions at a time when European and NATO countries are investing heavily in precision-strike capabilities and seeking to expand domestic and allied production capacity.

Ondas said it intends to use its European industrial capabilities to pursue additional opportunities across NATO and allied defense markets.
