Pretis outlines investment and expansion plans during visit by Federation officials
Pretis used a visit by Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina officials to present its investment priorities, export plans, and business outlook. The company also reported a 30% increase in production following recent consolidation efforts.
Bosnia and Herzegovina-based ammunition and defense manufacturer Pretis hosted a meeting with senior officials from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, focusing on the company’s current performance, investment agenda, and long-term development plans.
The visit included Federation Prime Minister Nermin Niksic and Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Vedran Lakic, who met with acting general director Fuad Sehic. According to Pretis, discussions centered on new investments, strengthening the domestic supply chain, workforce training, and expansion into additional export markets under the company’s development strategy through 2030.

Pretis said it has consolidated its operations under the current management structure and reported a 30% increase in production over the recent period. The company presented that figure as a key indicator of improved business performance, while also pointing to positive feedback from partners regarding its current management approach.
The meeting also included a review of Pretis’ recent appearance at the Eurosatory defense exhibition in Paris. The company said the event generated new business contacts and provided additional exposure for its product portfolio in international markets.
For Sarajevo, the visit underlines the Federation government’s continued political and industrial backing for one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most important defense manufacturers. For Pretis, the emphasis remains on scaling production, securing new market access, and deepening the local industrial base as regional demand for ammunition and defense output continues to rise.
