Sela Projects EU Expands US Presence to Florida
Netherlands-based Sela Projects EU expands its US presence to Florida, building on its European defense exhibition model manufacturing and consultancy business.
Netherlands-based Sela Projects EU has announced an expansion of its presence into Florida, marking a new step in the company's international business development strategy as it seeks closer relationships with customers across the United States, Canada and South America.
The family-owned company, headquartered in Amstelveen, specializes in high-precision exhibition models for defense manufacturers, aerospace companies and naval technology suppliers. Its activities also extend to international business development, maritime consulting and procurement support.
In announcing the Florida expansion, Sela Projects EU said the move would help improve local customer support, communication and cooperation with existing and prospective partners throughout the Americas. The company did not disclose whether the expansion involves a dedicated office, local manufacturing facilities or additional personnel.
From European Defense Exhibitions to International Markets
Sela Projects EU has established a portfolio of specialized exhibition models representing military vehicles, aircraft, naval platforms, electronic warfare equipment and surveillance technologies.
Among its recent projects is a two-meter-long military vehicle model produced for Germany's Flensburg Technology Systems GmbH. The model was presented at DALO Industry Days in Denmark on August 19–20, 2026.
The company has also produced a two-meter model of the BlueWhale autonomous underwater vehicle, as well as models of special-mission aircraft, air defense systems and electronic intelligence equipment.
More recently, Sela Projects EU presented a one-meter Point Blank model intended for upcoming defense exhibitions in Europe, highlighting its continued involvement in the military exhibition market.
The models are manufactured using a combination of precision machining, 3D printing, specialized materials and manual finishing. Depending on customer requirements, they can incorporate lighting, moving components and interactive features.
A Business Built Beyond Exhibition Models
The company's expertise extends beyond manufacturing physical representations of military systems.
Founder and CEO Michael Sela, a former Israeli Navy commander, brings a background in naval operations, command-and-control systems and defense technology. The company provides consultancy and business development services intended to connect international manufacturers with potential partners, suppliers and customers.
Meirav Sela, co-owner and Chief Marketing Officer of Sela Projects EU, oversees the company's marketing activities and public positioning.
Together, the company's leadership combines defense industry experience with commercial and marketing expertise, supporting its engagement with manufacturers and technology suppliers across international markets.
For manufacturers of aircraft, naval vessels and complex military systems, transporting a complete product to an international exhibition is often impractical. Detailed physical models offer an alternative for presenting equipment to prospective customers and industry partners.
As defense manufacturers prepare for another international exhibition cycle, including major European events, companies specializing in technical presentation and exhibition support remain part of the industry's wider commercial infrastructure.
Sela Projects EU's latest expansion adds an American presence to its established European operations, positioning the company to pursue business opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic.
