XTEND Completes Atlas Integration, Establishes Latvia as European Robotics Hub

XTEND has completed the integration of Latvia-based robotics company Atlas following its acquisition earlier this year, consolidating the company's engineering, manufacturing, commercial, and product organizations into a single global structure. According to the company, the integration expands its European industrial base while strengthening its XOS robotics ecosystem. 

A key outcome of the integration is the establishment of XTEND XFAB Latvia as the company's European manufacturing and engineering center. XTEND said the facility will increase production capacity and provide regional manufacturing, engineering support, and supply chain capabilities for NATO members, EU defense organizations, and allied customers. 

The company stated that the acquisition adds four intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance platforms to the XOS ecosystem, along with more than 4,200 deployed robotic systems and additional tactical communications technologies. XTEND also said the combined organization now has direct commercial access to approximately 40 European markets. 

According to XTEND, Atlas' product portfolio will strengthen its strategy of providing mission-ready, NDAA-compliant autonomous systems as European defense organizations continue to expand investments in unmanned capabilities. The integration also broadens the company's communications portfolio through AtlasRADIO, a software-defined tactical communications platform designed for secure mesh networking and integration across robotic systems. 

The company indicated that the combined portfolio now spans aerial ISR platforms, ground robotics, tactical communications, surveillance payloads, and autonomous software components operating through the XOS architecture. XTEND said the expanded industrial footprint is intended to support long-term growth across European defense and security markets while providing a foundation for future expansion into North America.
